Joseph Martorano
ENERGY PROCUREMENT AND POLICY CONSULTANT
Joseph F. Martorano is Greener by Design’s Senior Energy Consultant and Energy Procurement Expert. He concurrently holds the position of President of eco.nomiks, which is Greener by Design’s Environmental Asset Management sister company. Prior to this, Joe held the position of chief operating officer with SOSH Architects, one of the nation’s premier hospitality architecture firms. For eleven years, he worked with Exelon Corporation (formerly PECO Energy), a Fortune 500 company and the third largest energy utility in the nation. He worked as senior engineer of the technology group overseeing a team of twenty engineers in helping customers evaluate alternative energy options and reduce operating and production costs. Joe was then promoted to manager of the pricing department, where he set the marketing strategy and pricing for the company’s 7 million customers after which he was given the responsibility of lead negotiator for Exelon, which included the negotiations of power sale contracts as large as $4 billion. Joe has over 25 years of work experience in his chosen fields and has consistently excelled in his engagements. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is completing his Master’s of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
