Adam Zellner served as Policy Director to the Governor overseeing the development of the Renewable Portfolio Standard, Energy Master Plan and Global Warming Response Act for the State of New Jersey. Prior to joining the Governor’s staff, Adam served as the Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Legislative Affairs for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) under Lisa P. Jackson. He was the inaugural Executive Director of the New Jersey Highlands Council and is the former Executive Director of the New Jersey Office of Smart Growth. Adam served as State Director to Congressman Steve Rothman, who represents the 9th Congressional District of New Jersey, encompassing parts of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. In addition, he has worked for a variety of State Legislators throughout his career. Adam earned a B.A. in Economics from Rowan University and a M.B.A in Finance from Temple University. Mr. Zellner has been the keynote speaker at LERDWG (Laboratory Energy R&D Working Group) in Washington, DC and at NJLEUC (New Jersey Large Energy Users Coalition) Spring Meeting in Atlantic City, NJ. He currently resides in Linden, New Jersey and serves in a variety of local, county and state advisory roles related to energy, sustainable development and land use policy.
